Improving Mental Game Skills in Tennis
In this week’s tennis psychology podcast, mental game of tennis expert, Dr. Patrick Cohn answers a question from Isabella, who wants to become more confident, focused and calm on the tennis court.
Here’s the question I received from Isabella:
“What exercises can I do to make me more confident, focused and calm on the court? I have the athletic ability and I know that I can beat people that are higher ranked than I, but barely lose when I play them. How can I change that and beat better players?”
COHN: “Almost everything that I do with tennis players is to be more confident, focused and calm on the tennis court.”
Dr. Cohn breaks down each mental game area, confidence, focus and composure, and explains what you can do to improve those areas one by one.
